Anthony Edwards, San Juan County resident, attorney and County Judge has been named the Economic Development Leader of the Year by the Region 9 Economic Development District (Region 9) Board of Directors.
Edwards was recognized at Region 9's Annual Meeting held September 22nd for all his work in San Juan County. He has served his community as Silverton's Public Information Officer in the wake of the Gold King Mine spill, advocated for broadband service in the county, helped start the local economic development group, San Juan 2000 Development Association, served on the Region 9 Board of Directors, has been a Small Business Development Center Business Consultant and instructor since 2012. His professional entrepreneurship includes, Main Street Crowd, in addition to a private law practice.
